Hi, I’m Madi!

Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Newborn Care Specialist, and Professional Nanny.

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario and am still living here with my partner and our three cats. I have always had a passion for caring for young children and a love for supporting families. I find tiny humans incredibly fascinating and have dedicated my spare time to learning more about them.

Over the years, while working and spending time with children, I’ve found that my favourite age group is infants. I truly love being a part of children’s lives from the beginning and watching them grow in my care. Because of this, I completed my Newborn Care Specialist Training through Newborn Care Solutions. While working as an NCS, I found that there were so many conflicting resources on newborn and infant sleep, and many families struggled to find the best option for their little one. I then decided that becoming a Sleep Consultant would be the obvious next step, so I can continue to support families and coach parents through the trenches that is infant sleep.

My Philosophy

I am an intuitive child care provider. My approach to child-rearing is rooted in respect, trust, and the belief that all children are capable and worthy of autonomy. I embrace a version of gentle parenting, which prioritizes empathy, patience, and understanding, while fostering a nurturing environment where children feel heard, loved, and supported. I am inspired by the Montessori Pedagogy, which encourages independence, hands-on learning, and self-directed growth. I believe that children thrive when they are given the freedom to explore their world, make choices, and solve problems on their own.

Childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity, and discovery, where making messes, getting dirty, and trying new things are all essential parts of the learning process. Children should have the opportunity to explore their environment, express their creativity, and experience the joy of being a child. Every moment is a chance for learning, whether it’s through helping with daily life tasks, having new experiences, or simply playing. I encourage children to take risks, experiment, and trust in their ability to navigate the world around them.

When it comes to sleep, it’s always more than just sleep. I believe that to solve a child’s sleep troubles, we need to look at the whole picture. Sometimes, it’s more than just a late nap or early waking. My goal with my sleep clients is to help you help your child. I am here to coach and support you through those tough moments, but we both know it is more rewarding when you solve the problem on your own – and I know you are capable. You’re not alone, so many parents struggle with their child’s sleep. let me narrow down the confusing sleep training options and give you step by step support the whole way through.
